This month: "Spring Fever"
Miss. Taniesha is really looking forward to setting the clocks ahead, celebrating St. Patrick's Day and counting down to the official first day of spring! With all these things happening in the month of March, we are hoping to see more sunshine and rainbows instead of snow and ice! In KIP CLUB we will be reading stories and making crafts to celebrate that spring is on its way! (Even if it is happening slowly... it will come!)
Background about KIP CLUB:
KIP stands for Knowledge Is Power. It is also the name of my 5 ½ month old Blue Heeler puppy. Kip Adrienne is super smart and she loves to play and explore. So when I put together my furry best friend and the idea that knowledge is power, I got a pretty exciting idea for the after school library club! Think about it… how does one gain knowledge? Well, there are lots of ways actually, but in short they explore and experience new things. KIP CLUB will be all about learning and discovering new things while playing and having fun! There will be rotating activities such as building with Legos, going on nature adventures, creating art projects, reading stories, doing our own creative writing and more!
How can my child attend?
Children in grades K-5 who have a signed permission slip (for their appropriate grade level on the correct program date and time) will be able to ride the bus to the corner of the library's street. They will be greeted by a library staff member and walked down the road and into the library. Parents/caregivers are responsible for pick up after the program ends. In the event that KIP CLUB is offered during school breaks or weekends, parents/caregivers are responsible for drop off and pick up. Pre-registration will be required.
