Like most libraries in the country, the Cape Vincent Community
Library has become more than just a place to borrow books; it is
a community center. The library has four public access computers and
WIFI for patron laptops. The library has become a multi-media center
where patrons and visitors can take classes, attend lectures, enjoy
story hours and special events.

Regularly scheduled meetings include:

The Friends of the Library meets at the library every 4th Thursday of
the month at 4PM. This dedicated group meets at the library each
month in support of the library’s programs, to raise funds for the
library and to share great times that are celebrations of the arts,
literacy and friendship. Everyone is welcome to join the Friends and
encouraged to attend the monthly meetings.

Adult Book Club meets every third Wednesday of the month at 2PM to
discuss the current book.

The Women's Gathering meets every third Wednesday at 1PM, October
through spring in the meeting room. As always, Linda will bake up a
delectable dessert or two to share with the ladies. Come in and meet
your female neighbors in this chatty and upbeat setting.

The needlework group meets every Thursday at 1PM; every type of
needle arts is represented and each of the ladies is a wealth of
information about knitting, crochet, tatting, etc. Come and share your
needlework talents by working on baby blankets for Fort Drum newborns
or helmet liners for our soldiers overseas, a sweater for your honey
or a cross stitched pillowcase for a new bride. Everyone is welcome.
